For 9 years, Rock Solid has been a Non-Denomination Christian organization that has provided community recognized summer camps, swim lessons, holiday camps, public swim opportunities at 5 city pools in the Shreveport area, sports performance programs, sports team building, corporate team building, after school programs and various sports leagues and training at our Missouri facility.
These programs enable youth and families to enjoy a positive and exciting experience combined with character building, team building and leadership components, making a lasting impact on future generations. Last year, Rock Solid served over 3,000 children throughout the school year emphasizing character and leadership development. By encouraging these young people to reach their full potential, we are securing our future as well. Rock Solid also had the privilege this past year of connecting with over 30,000 people while teaching swim lessons and managing 5 community pools.
As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, we rely on the support of donors who believe in the ministry of Rock Solid. Rock Solid currently needs your support in the following areas:
General Unrestricted Giving and Sponsorships (Shreveport or Missouri)
Rock Solid “Will Mathews” Impact Center—In August of 2010, we lost a very charismatic Rock Solid servant when 14 year old Will Mathews was diagnosed with encephalitis and died only a few short days after being diagnosed. Will played sports, loved God, his family and people and served at Rock Solid with a passion like no other. In order for us to continue growing on the Calvary Campus we must raise the funds for a building as we are outgrowing the Calvary indoor facilities.
Swim Strong Program/Stewart Warner Project—the Shreveport Community Foundation has awarded us a grant to teach 1000 children how to swim based on the drownings at the Red River last summer that made National news. Rock Solid has committed to raise the money to teach an additional 300-500 individuals in lower income areas how to swim free of charge. Your donation of $40 could save a life.
Rock Solid Camper Fund—At Rock Solid, we believe that NO child should be turned away from a life changing experience due to lack of funds. Therefore, your donation of $130 (Day Camp) or $199 (Sports Camp) could provide a child a 1 week experience that could change their life forever.
