Why Rock Solid?
At Rock Solid Camps we are “Seeking To Make An Impact, One Life At A Time”through sports camps, day camps, adventure camps, holiday camps, inner city projects, and community wide activities.Rock Solid has impacted over 25,000 kids in the past 9 years through Camps,After School Programs and Swim Lessons. Our campers experience fun training in their respective sports/activities, while also having the opportunity to build healthy relationships, learn conflict management skills, character building, team building and leadership skills in a non-denominational Christian environment.
We run on a 6 to 1 camper to counselor ratio and guarantee both the safety and growth of your child(ren) as we only employ the finest coaches and role models for our campers. It is our goal for our campers and our staff that they walk away from our camps having been touched in a way that their lives will never be the same again. No child will be turned away on the basis of race, socioeconomic status or religion. At Rock Solid, we pride ourselves in providing your child(ren) a life changing, fun experience as we build relationships with them that allow us to meet them where they are. Regardless of the age of your camper, our low staff to camper ratio allows us to insure the safety of your child. And while we know the community has many amazing choices to meet your camper’s needs, we are certain you will be happy you made the Rock Solid choice.

“My daughter has been coming to camp for four years now and Shelley has always been gracious in helping me out financially because I am a single mom. We love Rock Solid!” ~ Regan Simmons (Mother of an 8 year old daughter)
“My 6 year old daughter, Rayne, got in the car this summer after a day at camp and said, ‘It’s better than Disney World!!!’” ~ Paige Locke (Mother of daughters 7 and 5 and a 9 yr old son)
“4 years ago, being a single mother of three boys going through a very unexpected divorce, my middle son was going through a very difficult time handling all of the changes in our live that were brought on very sudden! Praying every night, trying to keep my faith and being strong, I had utilized every person who I knew could possibly help my son get through this, but no changes, the behaviors got worse and the disrespect for authority was unacceptable. I will never forget that day that I drove by Rock Solid, which was crazy, seeing as it was on a street that I never traveled! That’s the day that changed mine and his life both, when I made that call to Shelley, and that’s the day I knew that my faith in God had brought me there! You see my story is a little different from other stories in the way that Shelley is my biological sister, whom I had no contact with! Despite the relationship I did not have with Shelley, I knew that God had answered that prayer for me on that day. Since day one at Rock Solid, my son has grown to be an amazing leader, a team player, an amazing athlete; he was MVP of his football team, made all-stars for baseball, and still with the relationships he has formed with the Rock Solid staff, and Shelley as well has forever changed not only his life, but our family! Since that day that changed our lives, I now have another child that goes to the camps, having a mild case of cerebral palsy, he is doing just as well, star soccer player, team leader, and is able to facilitate a very healthy relationship with his brothers and myself with tools that they have been taught through Shelley and the staff at Rock Solid! I’m very thankful for this program, it allows these children to be who they are, learn how to deal with difficulties, and be able to achieve things in their lives they may have never been able to! I’ve Seen this program” Impact” lives first hand, and thankful for that day that changed ours! ~ Shannon Vicknair (Single mother of boys 16, 9 and 6)
