FAQ's
| Who can attend Rock Solid Camps? |
Any youth aged 4-18 years old
| What if I cannot pay the entire registration fee? |
We will not turn any camper away due to lack of financial means. Simply contact us with your information and it will be evaluated individually and personally.
| What kinds of qualifications do the staff possess? |
All staff members are thoroughly back ground checked and possess experience with youth at various levels. They are well trained to meet the needs of your child along with any conflict that may arise during our camp sessions. Rock Solid has been blessed to have a 95% retention rate on our staff over the last 6 years and therefore are able to keep the best of the best.
All staff members are CPR, first aid and AED trained.
Each camp is 1 week, however, many people use us as their means for summer childcare and there is a discount for a child attending multiple weeks. Day camps begin at 9am and ends at 4pm M-F with early drop off and late pickup available (See Summer Camp 2010 page for more detailed info on times).
| What if my child does not know how to swim? |
We offer swim lessons during the swim sessions at camp while also testing every child's abilities before each swim session. If they are not good swimmers, they are placed in life jackets to insure their safety. The pool is well staffed with both lifeguards and camp counselors.
| Where do Rock Solid Camps take place? |
Our camps take place at 9333 Linwood Ave on part of the Calvary Campus.
| Will the pool be ready at Calvary for this summer? |
We are diligently working to raise the money for own pool. In the event that our pool is not available at the start of camp, our campers use the Southern Hills pool 2.2 miles from Calvary and are shuttled there by a professional driver.
| Are Rock Solid and Calvary the same thing? |
No, Calvary has been gracious enough to provide us with an office and lease out space to us for both our camps and our After School programs and while we work together to serve the community, we are two separate non-profits.

What is the difference between day camp and sports camp?
|
Day Campers stay in a group all day with campers their same age and rotate amongst swimming, climbing wall, archery, fishing, arts & crafts, hockey, dance and sports games. Sports Campers go to a sports table each morning when they arrive at camp and select their 5 sessions each day. They then receive more specialized instruction in the selected sports or activities.
Can I register for a day at a time?
|
Absolutely. However, there are no discounts for day rates due to the scheduling of staff members.
